Q: Does the room contain an oven or stove top for cooking?
A: No. There is only a microwave available in the rooms for re-heating food, however there is an outdoor BBQ available for guest use.

Q: When is the check-in / check out time?
A: Check in is anytime from 2pm until 9pm. Check out is by 10am

Q: Can we have a late check-out?
A: Checkout can be extended for an additional $20 per hour but is subject to availability at time of check-in.

Q: What if I am arriving late (after 9pm)?
A:
A late check-in can be arranged in advance by contacting us directly before your check-in date.

Q: How far is the nearest beach?
A: Marengo beach is just 300 metres walk. It is very popular with families during summer, however it is not patrolled.

Q: How far away is the Apollo Bay town centre?
A: We are just over 2 kilometres from the town centre of Apollo Bay. The driving time is 2-3 minutes. The walking time is approximately 25-30 minutes.

Q: Is there a restaurant/place to buy food in Marengo?
A:
Marengo is a quiet residential area, so you would need to venture into town for any food or drink purchases.

Q: Can I add an extra guest to my reservation after I have made my booking?
A: Yes, as long as we have the correct bedding configuration and there is availability. You may add extra guests at the advance purchase rate (ring hotel for current rate) by contacting us at least 24 hours in advance of your check-in date. Adding extra guests after this time or at check-in will be charged at the full rack rate of $60 per person.

Q: What happens if I haven’t communicated the extra guest with the Motel?
A: If we learn that more guests have been staying than otherwise booked for, the extra guests will be charged at the higher nightly rack rate of $60 per person per night to the account that we have on file.

Q: I have a young child who can sleep the same bed as the parents. Are they considered a paying guest?
A: All children over the age of 24 months are considered full-paying guests (If you have an agent booking, the age is reduced to 12 months). Maximum of one free infant per suite booked.

Q: Are towels and linen provided?
A: Yes, towels and linen are provided for guest use. Shampoo, shower gel and soap is also complimentary. You may wish to bring additional items such as conditioner, hand cream etc.

Q: Do you offer any discounts from the prices I see on the website?
A:
No. The prices you see on the website are very competitively set. As we are independently owned, we do not offer any further discounts to any card holders etc.

Q: One of the dates I want to book is only available as a minimum 2 night stay. Can I stay just 1 night?
A: We have set minimum stay requirements over busy dates such as public holidays. We occasionally can however permit 1 night stays. Please contact the Motel directly about the specific date you are enquiring about.

Q: How far is the Motel from Melbourne?
A: Please see the Location tab – or click here – for further details .

Q: Does the Motel have air conditioning?
A: No, Apollo Bay generally has a milder summer compared with the rest of Australia so we only experience a few occasionally hot and humid nights each year.

Q: So does that mean Apollo Bay is cold in the wintertime?
A:
Yes. Temperatures can plummet in winter. We counteract this with oil heaters, electric blankets and blankets for the beds in all our guest rooms.

Q: How far are the Twelve Apostles?
A: The Twelve Apostles are located 90 minutes’ drive from Apollo Bay.

Q: How many nights should I stay in Apollo Bay for?
A: We would suggest at least 2 nights to give you the chance to see the main attractions in the area.
